[Satomi - Waves [DJ Elyn Remix]]

i love satomi - waves!!

I love how the melody and lyrics started coming in at around 30 seconds, but i gotta say...the intro is kinda long lol..shorten just a bit and it should be good. When the lyrics fully came in tho, the song got weaker or like..the volume droped? I think it would have sounded better on a faster tempo, cause the song went a bit slowly and stuff.. But still this was a good attempt and i liked it hehe. 9/10. 5/5. Keep it up!

about that part when the voice come in, it doens't sound as bad when you have the volume up very loud, but yeah i noticed it too :) But I kinda like it that way because it brings in a feeling of old school pop-music and I like classics ^^ haha

But i gotta say one of the sounds was a bit too lous or something.. Balance out the sounds more so that they all sound good together, and that one doesnt overpower the others. This went from a really sad start to like a more uplifting and motivating tune. Im sorry to hear your grandma passed and its good that your making a song dedicated to her. I liked the panned percussion that came in, and the piano and bells or w/e it was created the sad mood and stuff. Then at 1:18 the mood changed form like sorrow to like...moving on i think. The mood changed and it became really beautiful and like..uplifting lol. It had like the "its okay, everyones gonna be alright, remember me for the rest of time" kinda feeling to it.. well this was a really good preview, just lower that one sound that comes in later, it was a bit too overpowering/loud. I hope to hear the finished one. Good job man, music with emotion behind it is really powerful.

powerful kick...

lol that kick was a bit too overpowering for me though.. i think you kinda over emphasized the kick a bit but i liked all the effects and stuff you put into this. I liked the melody and how you kinda built it up to the melody. good stuff man, just lower the kick a tad bit.

Yeah..didn't flow well at all...

at 0:06 : when you changed the note, it was like jumpy, and it was like offbeat or something?
at 0:10 : when you added that new arp or w/e, it was sort of off timing, should of waited a bit more before putting it in, and it didnt match the song.
at 0:19 : the kick didnt sound good..and it sounded like you double layered or even triple layered that kick, trying to make it stronger, but it instead sort of ruined it..

I dont wanna be rash or anything, im just giving you my review to this song, and i hope that your not offended. When you add in melodies, arps, sounds, and stuff, you have to have the right timing. Matching the right time to add in new stuff with the bars is important. For example, every 8 bars you can add a sound or something and it wouldnt sound out of place like what happened here. Plus, for the kick, dont try to overpower it too much by layering it by itself so much. Just layer two different kicks and work on them to make the kick sounds nice and stuff. I know this was just an attempt so keep trying. When i first started making music and was experimenting with my program, it sounded like this too. Just keep at it and u'll get better in no time :D. Its just a process you go through. Keep at it man and good luck with creating music. The #1 rule to becoming good is to never quit and to keep trying.

so powerful...

i think it was a bit too loud tho..the main synth.. but it was a really powerful tune and stuff, and i really loved this song...i can imagine this song playing while a couple is getting married in like a movie and having those happy endings, and everyone is all happy lol, so nice name for the song haha. really nice peice lol..

Wow..this was a really good ambient song... Let you have time to relax and stuff and think about things lol. I really liked all the percussions you used and the mellowness. some moments coulda been worked with more, but overall the mood was good for the song. think you can check out my latest track elysium(remix)?

yeah haha funny story with this song, i made it but i never exported it as a midi. Then i screwed up my computer so FL wouldn't open and I couldn't export it, then i reformatted and thought i lost it but somehow all my files were still there and I found this, but my drum sounds had been deleted so i reinstalled FL and im stuck with a demo till i buy a new one haha.
=] but ill def check out your stuff bro, i prolly oughta start writing reviews. so you'll be numba 1!
